Montenegro is small enough to cross in a day, but you'll want weeks to see it properly. Pick up your car in Budva, Tivat, Podgorica, or wherever you land — and just go. The coast, the mountains, the back roads nobody else takes. We've been doing this since 2008, and the rates are honest.
Fast online booking — no hidden fees
Free cancellation · No credit card fee · All taxes included
We started in Budva back in 2008 with a handful of cars and a simple idea: treat people the way you'd want to be treated when you're abroad. Fifteen years later, nothing's changed about that — the fleet is just bigger now, and you can book from your phone on the plane.
From compact economy cars to luxury SUVs and family vans — our vehicles cover all travel needs. See our full fleet and book the perfect car for your Montenegro trip.
Pick up and return your car at any of our 9 locations across Montenegro — Budva, Tivat, Podgorica, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Bar, and more. One-way hire available at no additional charge.
Our cost structure is fully transparent. No hidden fees. No surprise charges on your card. The price you see at booking time is the price you pay. Our offers are always competitive.

Read what our customers say. Over 1,200 verified customer reviews confirm our commitment to quality service. See reviews from real travellers who hire cars with us in Montenegro every season.
Book your rental car in under 3 minutes on our website. Select your date, choose your vehicle, enter your card details, and confirm. Your reservation is instant and modifiable.
Protect your trip with our damage waiver and insurance packages. All our cars include basic protection. Additional coverage can be added to any booking for total peace of mind.
Nine locations covering the coast, both airports, and the capital. Pick up in one place, drop off somewhere else entirely — we're used to it. One-way is standard.
Budva is where most people base themselves, and for good reason. The old town is walking distance from everything, and the roads out are spectacular — north up to Kotor takes twenty minutes, south to Petrovac a little less. Our Budva office is open daily; walk-ins welcome, though booking ahead is smarter in July and August.
Hire a car in Budva →Tivat Airport is one of Montenegro's two international airports and one of our most important car hire locations. Pick up your vehicle the moment you land in Tivat and drive directly to Budva, Kotor, or anywhere across the country. Our Tivat car rental desk is open to meet every flight. No need to wait — your car is ready at the Tivat Airport terminal.
Hire a car in Tivat →Rent a car in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, at two convenient locations — Podgorica Airport and our Podgorica city centre station. Our Podgorica fleet includes economy cars for solo travellers, family SUVs, and premium vehicles for business hire. Whether you need a car for one day or an extended trip across the country, book your Podgorica car rental today.
Hire a car in Podgorica →Kotor is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Montenegro's most beautiful destinations. Our Kotor car hire location lets you explore the Bay of Kotor, drive the serpentine road up to Lovćen, or make a day trip to Budva and back. Book a car in Kotor and discover this coastal gem at your own pace.
Hire a car in Kotor →Our Herceg Novi car rental location serves the northern entrance to the Bay of Kotor. Hire a vehicle here after arriving from Croatia by ferry, or start your Montenegro road trip with a car picked up in Herceg Novi. Our car rental team in Herceg Novi can also help with information on driving routes and local tips.
Hire a car in Herceg Novi →Arriving by ferry from Italy or Bari? Pick up your hire car directly at the Bar port area. Our Bar car rental station serves the southern coast of Montenegro, giving you access to Ulcinj, Skadar Lake, and the national parks beyond. Rent a car in Bar and explore this less-visited, authentic part of the country.
Hire a car in Bar →Economy hatches for budget trips, SUVs for the mountain roads, vans for families, convertibles for showing off on the coast. The fleet is well-maintained — average age under three years — and all cars are fully insured as standard.
Our compact economy cars are perfect for solo travellers or couples exploring Montenegro on a budget. Easy to park in Budva's old town streets, affordable at an all-in cost.
A great hire option for small families or travellers who want a bit more comfort and boot space. Compact cars are one of our most popular vehicle category across all Montenegro locations.
Explore Montenegro's mountain roads, national parks, and gravel tracks with an SUV or 4×4 hire. Our SUV fleet includes modern, fully insured vehicles ideal for driving through any terrain in the country.
Arrive in style at Montenegro's finest destinations. Hire a luxury vehicle for business travel, special occasions, or simply because your Montenegro trip deserves an upgrade. Premium rental experience guaranteed.
For groups, families with children, or any customer who needs maximum space — hire a van or minivan from our fleet. Our vans seat up to 8 passengers, making them ideal for group travel across Montenegro.
Cruise the Montenegrin coast with the roof down. Our convertible hire is available at Budva, Tivat, and other coastal locations for the most scenic driving experience along the Adriatic.
Both Montenegrin airports — Tivat and Podgorica — have our staff on the ground. You land, you sign the paperwork, you drive. No shuttle, no waiting at a distant depot. Tivat handles most of the summer coast traffic; Podgorica is the year-round hub.
Tivat is the airport most people fly into for the Bay of Kotor, and it gets genuinely busy in July and August. Our desk is just past arrivals — you'll see the sign. We track flights, so if you land late it's fine. That said, summer weekends fill up fast; booking your car before you fly is just the sensible move.
Podgorica isn't the prettiest arrival point, but it's the most practical — the motorway south to the coast is fast, and you can be in Budva in under an hour. Our counter is in the arrivals hall. We open early and stay late; the last flight of the day is never a problem. Cross-border permits for Croatia or Albania can be sorted at pick-up if you need one.
Please ensure you have all the following documents ready when collecting your hire car at the airport. Our team will need to verify your identity and driving licence before releasing any vehicle.
The price shown is the price you pay. Taxes, basic insurance, and unlimited kilometres across Montenegro are all in. No fuel scams, no admin fees, no "mandatory extra" appearing at the counter. Additional cover is available if you want zero-excess protection — it's optional, not compulsory.

The roads here will surprise you — in both directions. The coastal run from Herceg Novi to Budva is genuinely beautiful; the mountain road up to Lovćen is something else entirely. A few things worth knowing before you set off.
Right-hand driving, same as the rest of Europe. Speed limits: 50 in towns, 80 on open roads, 100–120 on the motorway. Police do use radar and fines are paid on the spot. Nothing unusual — but people do get caught, especially on the coast road in summer.
The coastal stretch between Budva and Kotor is narrow in places — think two cars squeezing past each other slowly. It's worth it. The road up to Lovćen from Kotor has 25 switchbacks and views that'll make you stop three times. For anything north of Podgorica, an SUV is the right call.
Along the coast and main routes you'll have no trouble. Once you head up into the mountains — Durmitor, Prokletije — stations get sparse. Fill up in Žabljak or Pljevlja before going further north. All our cars take standard unleaded or diesel; we'll tell you which at pick-up.
Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Serbia — all doable with a cross-border permit. Mention it at booking and we'll sort it. The permit costs a small flat fee and is valid for the duration of your rental. Don't cross without it; border police do check and the fine isn't fun.
Budva old town has almost no parking in August — plan to leave the car at the main lot and walk in. Kotor is similar. Zones are marked in blue on the road and paid by SMS or at machines nearby; €1–1.50 per hour is typical. The new parking garage at Budva is the most reliable option in high season.
November through March the mountain passes can close without much warning. The Sozina tunnel keeps the Podgorica–Bar coastal link open year-round, but north of Kolašin it can get properly snowed in. All our cars get winter tyres from November 1st. If you're heading to Durmitor in January, take an SUV and check the road status that morning.

There are no hidden fees — the price shown at booking is what you pay.
We recommend booking your Montenegro car hire at least 2-4 weeks in advance during the peak summer season (June-August), especially for Budva and Tivat Airport locations. In shoulder season (May, September, October), booking 1 week ahead is usually sufficient. For winter travel and Podgorica city hire, same-day or next-day booking is often possible. Early booking guarantees your preferred vehicle category and the best cost.
Yes — you can extend your car hire, change your return date, or modify your return location at any time during your rental period, subject to vehicle availability. Please contact us by phone or via our website to make any changes. Extending your rental is straightforward and the additional cost is calculated at the daily rate for your vehicle category. We recommend requesting any extension at least 24 hours before your original return date.
We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express for both online booking and payment at our rental counters. Debit cards are accepted for payment but please note that a credit card is required to hold the security deposit. We do not charge any additional card fee. Cash payment is accepted at some locations — please contact us for information on cash rental options at your preferred location.
EU/EEA driving licence holders do not need an International Driving Permit to drive in Montenegro — your national licence is fully valid. Drivers from outside the EU (including the UK, USA, Australia, and other countries) should carry an International Driving Permit alongside their national licence. The IDP is available from your national automobile association. Please bring both documents when collecting your hire car at any of our locations.
Absolutely. One-way car hire between any of our Montenegro locations is available. You can pick up in Budva and return the vehicle at Podgorica Airport, Tivat, Kotor, or any other station. The one-way hire option is available at no additional charge for most vehicle categories. Simply select your different return location when completing your online booking, or request it when speaking with our team.
In the event of damage to your hire car, please contact our team immediately and complete a damage report form. With basic insurance (CDW), you are responsible for damage costs up to the excess amount (typically €300-€800 depending on vehicle). If you purchased our full damage waiver, your excess is reduced to zero. All damage claims are processed fairly and transparently. Your security deposit covers the excess and is released once the claim is settled.
Yes. Our Tivat Airport car hire station accepts vehicle returns at all hours, including overnight and early-morning drop-offs. If your flight departs very early and our counter is not yet staffed, please use our after-hours key drop box at the Tivat Airport station. Please ensure you complete the return paperwork the evening before or notify us in advance. The same service is available at Podgorica Airport for late-night or early-morning returns.
Your hire car will be provided with a full tank of the correct fuel type — petrol (unleaded) or diesel — clearly indicated on the fuel cap and in your rental agreement. Please always return the car with a full tank to avoid a refuelling charge. Fuel stations are widely available across Montenegro, including in Budva, Tivat, and Podgorica. In remote mountain areas and national parks, fuel stations can be sparse — plan ahead and fill up before long inland drives.
For a family trip to Montenegro, we recommend an SUV or a minivan. An SUV offers the best combination of comfort, boot space, and capability on Montenegro's varied roads — from coastal drives near Budva and Tivat to mountain roads inland. For larger groups or families with 5-8 passengers and lots of luggage, our van hire is the most practical and cost-effective option. All family vehicles include a free child seat reservation.
No — we offer full one-way hire across all our Montenegro locations. You can pick up your car at Budva city centre and return it at Tivat Airport, or pick up at Podgorica Airport and drop off in Kotor or Herceg Novi. All one-way combinations between our 9 locations are available. Please select your preferred return location at the time of booking and our team will confirm availability.
Driving in Montenegro at night on the main coastal road between Budva, Tivat, and Podgorica is generally safe and well-lit. However, mountain roads and secondary routes can be poorly lit and winding at night. We recommend avoiding mountain driving in Montenegro after dark if you are unfamiliar with the roads. On the coast, night driving is straightforward and many visitors drive between Budva and Kotor in the evening without any issues.
Yes — for rentals of 3 days or more, we offer free car delivery to hotels in Budva. Our driver will bring your hire car directly to your Budva hotel address at the agreed time, so you don't need to travel to our office. Hotel delivery is also available in Tivat city, Kotor, and other locations for a small additional fee. Please request hotel delivery when making your booking and provide your hotel name and address.
